Join us at El Pueblo’s Hispanic Heritage Festival! 

October 15th from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 

El Pueblo Will Host a Hispanic Heritage Festival in Forest, Mississippi

Join us to celebrate and learn about the culture of our Latinx community members. There will be cultural food, dance, activities, and more!

The Hispanic Heritage Festival will be held on October 15th with events starting at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until 5:00 p.m. This event will take place at Forest’s City Park.

Tentatively, the day will include:

  •  A 5k walk
  • Soccer and Basketball games
  • A beauty pageant
  • Dance performances
  • Live music
  • Cultural food and arts & crafts booths
  • Children’s activities tables
  • An essay contest

Join the Beauty Pageant!

Please bring the Hispanic Heritage Festival Beauty Pageant  and your entrance fee to El Pueblo to participate.

Participate in the Essay Contest

High School seniors can submit an essay for the prompt “My Country, My Family, and My Forest Community” to info@elpueblo-ms.org by October 1st.  Submissions must include your name, address, school, and parent’s information. The winner will receive a $250 cash prize. Download the flyer here.

Sign-up for El Pueblo's 5K Fun Run/Walk

The Hispanic Heritage Festival will kick off with a 5K run/walk. Sign-up by completing El Pueblo’s 5k RunWalk Form and bringing it to El Pueblo with your entrance fee.

Sign-up a team for Soccer

Use the Soccer Sign-Ups Form to register your team to play in the Hispanic Heritage Festival games! The games will be at 10:00 a.m. in Gaddis Park.
