Yolanda Soto
Biography
Yolanda Soto originally from Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, is the Director of Community Outreach for El Pueblo. She has served the Forest community for many years, everything from organizing a community soccer league to assisting with ESL classes. Yolanda worked with Mississippi Immigration Coalition and was the lead case/outreach worker instrumental in assisting families with food distribution and disbursement of humanitarian aid in response to workplace enforcement raids.
Carolina Bermudez
Biography
Carolina Bermudez, originally from Costa Rica, has 12 years of experience working with the Hispanic Community in the grander Scott County area. As a caseworker at El Pueblo, she is informative and helpful to those who need legal or personal help as they navigate living in the United States. She has a passion for serving her community and helping people who are going through difficult times which makes her well-suited for her position at El Pueblo. In her free time, Carolina loves to travel with her family.

Ana Garcia Bisono
Biography
Ana originates from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her career launched when she began as a Certified Fitness Specialist, on the Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Ceiba, Puerto Rico in 1998. Thereafter she transferred out of Puerto Rico into Gulfport, Mississippi where she started on The NMCBC Naval Station Training Military personnel as a Fitness Specialist. After that, Ana started to expand her knowledge, taking Physical Therapy classes in Pennsylvania.
Ana relocated to Miami, FL where she worked as Fitness Supervisor at the Air Force base in Homestead, Fl, and excelled at Jackson South Hospital as Physical Therapy Technician.
Following that sought an EMT-Paramedic Diploma, advanced variety of Medical Terminology, Kinesiology classes, and various fitness certifications. Ultimately, she chose to settle back in Gulfport Ms.
Nicole Zepeda Romero
Biography
Nicole’s family is from San Miguel, El Salvador. She is a passionate and dedicated professional with a profound commitment to helping and educating others.
During her time at Biloxi High School, Nicole excelled as the president of the ESL (English as a Second Language) program. She played a crucial role in supporting Spanish-speaking students in their English learning and integration into the school community. In addition to her leadership in the ESL program, Nicole was actively involved in volunteer work throughout her high school years. Her dedication to community service reflected her desire to make a positive impact and contribute to the well-being of others.
Nicole has a deep passion for working with the Hispanic community and addressing their needs. Her experience and commitment have prepared her to face challenges and seize opportunities to empower and support the Hispanic community.
With a career focused on making a positive impact, Nicole continues to seek opportunities to contribute her knowledge and skills, always aiming to educate, inspire and improve the lives of those around her.
Rosa Fruin – Interpreter
Biography
Rosa is originally from Peru. She moved to the United States 36 years ago.
Rosa has an extensive background as a supervisor, employment interviewer and family advocate for Spanish speaking families.
She wants to make a difference in people’s lives by utilizing her bilingual skills and knowledge of medical terminology as a Community Interpreter.

Gabriela Gardine
Biography
Gabriela Gardine was born in Mexico City, Mexico. She immigrated from Queretaro City, Mexico and to the United States 17 years ago.
She has a bachelor’s degree in graphic design that helped her be involved at the schools of her three children. During those years, she had the opportunity to live in different parts of the U.S. which taught her more about the culture. She explored different areas of self development from baking to dental assistance. The most recent activity taught her firsthand about the needs of the Hispanic community.
Gabriela and her family moved from Texas to Mississippi where they fell in love with the area and the kindness of the people. In her free time, she enjoys walking with her husband and their dogs, playing board games with her family and trying new baking recipes!
